  • Drinking well; could age longer. Delicious clear syrah flavors—fruit and a little funk, no sanguinity (thank you Rotie). Subtle floral note from the viognier. I thought I preferred Rotie Southern Blend but this bottle may have changed my mind. Wish I had more

  • Short decant, but likely not needed. Really feminine with light funk, black fruit, coffee, tar and pepper. Held up over 3 days. Drink now - 2029.

  • This is my last bottle and I am convinced this will age for many many more years. This is not a powerful wine that will mellow. Instead it is at first closed, but after decanting for one to two hours this starts to open and flower. A more subtle almost Burgundian style Syrah. This is not true with other vintages of this wine I think, but this one, or at least this bottle, was. It was beautiful during my last sip. Amd probably would have improved over the night, and will over the years. I envy those who still have some.

  • great wine.. secret santa 2020
very tight on opening. aromatics were reduced on the pnp,
on the nose once it opened up.. about an hour in, fat, game (venison) dark fruits.. and a slight spice note
on the palate. medium tannins..definitely present but not in the way of the wine. more fat and gaminess, black pepper and heat. as the bottle opened the fruit characteristics came out and became predominant.. lush and full and decadent. beautiful wine. alcohol on this may be a little understated as it packs quite the punch. finish was medium to medium plus and body was medium to medium minus. what a beautiful wine.. will need to add some of this to the cellar.

  • Started off a little tight but opened up nicely. Lovely blend of tastes including berries & chocolate. Crowd pleaser at dinner!
