Decanted for a couple hours; this wine is so killer right now. Nose is smokey, roasted coffee, beef fat dripping on hot rocks, slight seaweed-y umami. Palate is braised brisket, plums, tapenade, lifted, violets. So beautiful. Killer wine; killer pairing with roast beef tenderloin and Chinese broccoli. Should have bought more : )

Decanted >1 hour. Paired with baby rick ribs. The wine held its own and cut through the spiciness of the ribs and sauce. Nice pairing.

Walla Walla Syrah Festival Grand Tasting (Valdemar Cellars Walla Walla): Violets, brisket, blue fruits, smoke and earth. Good but so many better wines on this night.

Smokey, a little meaty, blueberry. Appreciate the 13.8%. Decant!
