Needed time to mellow out but once it did it soared. Nice complexity and length, and quite balanced despite the high abv. Could easily go another 5-10 years.

Medium dark ruby color with a thick raspberry aroma, and tasted great right out of the bottle. Already smooth and nice medium body. After a 90-minute decant, became much more interesting with some spicy notes to keep things interesting. Cab Franc has become so prolific in the Virginia wine scene, but it's always nice to enjoy a well-crafted one like this. Vigneron Jeff White hits another out of the park!

Deep ruby. On the nose the aroma is of medium plus intensity with tomato leaf, bramble, blackberries, black cherries, blueberries. On the palate the wine is dry with medium plus acidty, medium plus fine grained tannins, high Etoh, full body. Flavor is of medium plus intensity and demonstrates black cherries, blackberries, some dried black fruit, black tea- but also demonstrates a greeness like green fruit or stems. The finish lingers and is of black fruit. This is a well balanced well structured delicious wine and somewhat surprising in profile for a Cabernet Franc. It is very good and only the slight stemminess on the palate keeps it from rating higher.
