  • Dark color, full body, floral yet non expressive, wood, starts off with a great scent then settles with a smooth flavor. Drink up.

  • I am mostly a Cab drinker. But that may change based on this bottle of Pinot. Best PN I have EVER had. Complex, big, plush, velvety, balanced wine with long finish that invites you back for more. Excellent!

  • Boy has this wine evolved into a beautiful pinot. Just wish I hadn't consumed so many of mine before they had readhed maturity. This pinot has gained a lot of complexity and is drinking great now but may even be better in a couple of years. This pinot has the potential to be a 95 point wine in a couple of years. Kudos to Eric for crafting such a wonderful pinot. Joan and I sure love it.

  • The score is meant as a kudo to Bobbie P. as I think that this wine is on the cusp of really something special as far as a Cali p.n. goes. A wine that's so lush for a pinot noir that it almost doesn't feel like a pinot. There's nothing burgundian about this bad boy, with its plush mouthfeel, full throttled fruit and generous silky tannins but that's why it is so rewarding - a quintessential cali pinot that's not afraid to step up and strut its own personaility. Amazingly, it controls the power of the alcohol; while there's no mistaking its big boy flavors, neither does it feel like it's too hot or over the top in its sugars. It carries a very sensible balance of round fruits (cherry as much as red berries, and even some darkness, maybe even some rocky and minor graphite undertones?). The nose brings to mind a mix of bing cherries and sage, with a generous dose of sweet cinnamon brown sugar. And the finish is awesome, easily 30 seconds of wonderful sweet bright cherry memories. Really, this wine is simply wonderful at almost six years, and I don't see how, with it's nice acidic structure and tannic undertones, it wll start to diminish anytime soon. As they say, it has the stuffing to age - maybe even for another 5-7 years?

  • Good flavor, not a traditional pinot with cherry, but strong mouthful flavors. Very much full of alcohol and delicious.
