I am mostly a Cab drinker. But that may change based on this bottle of Pinot. Best PN I have EVER had. Complex, big, plush, velvety, balanced wine with long finish that invites you back for more. Excellent!

Boy has this wine evolved into a beautiful pinot. Just wish I hadn't consumed so many of mine before they had readhed maturity. This pinot has gained a lot of complexity and is drinking great now but may even be better in a couple of years. This pinot has the potential to be a 95 point wine in a couple of years. Kudos to Eric for crafting such a wonderful pinot. Joan and I sure love it.

The score is meant as a kudo to Bobbie P. as I think that this wine is on the cusp of really something special as far as a Cali p.n. goes. A wine that's so lush for a pinot noir that it almost doesn't feel like a pinot. There's nothing burgundian about this bad boy, with its plush mouthfeel, full throttled fruit and generous silky tannins but that's why it is so rewarding - a quintessential cali pinot that's not afraid to step up and strut its own personaility. Amazingly, it controls the power of the alcohol; while there's no mistaking its big boy flavors, neither does it feel like it's too hot or over the top in its sugars. It carries a very sensible balance of round fruits (cherry as much as red berries, and even some darkness, maybe even some rocky and minor graphite undertones?). The nose brings to mind a mix of bing cherries and sage, with a generous dose of sweet cinnamon brown sugar. And the finish is awesome, easily 30 seconds of wonderful sweet bright cherry memories. Really, this wine is simply wonderful at almost six years, and I don't see how, with it's nice acidic structure and tannic undertones, it wll start to diminish anytime soon. As they say, it has the stuffing to age - maybe even for another 5-7 years?

Tried this wine to see how it was doing since the upcoming offering of Sojourns is coming soon. A beautiful bottle that has improved since release. Slightly acidic (some may say tart) but gaining complexity. Happy to have a couple of bottles left. A great QPR.

Dark color. Nose is nice with red berries, mushroom, mocha, strawberry, black tea, cinnimon. Palate has tart strawberry, black tea, cinnamon, gets fuller with time.

Not sure if this is a flawed bottle, but it is one of those bottles that is definitely not corked but bitter and definitely not enjoyable. Will marked as flawed and try another.

Absolutely incredible pinot. One of the best pinots we've consumed during the last year. Shared this at a party and everyone loved it. Wonderful effort. Another note indicated this wine may not have a long life but I'm not concerned. The wine is so great I don't think any of my bottles will make it more than a couple of years. Great effort.

Soft, rich, lush nose. Some red fruit and lots of floral notes. Additional hints of forest floor. Ripe, rich palate - black cherry, caramel/cola hints, and a purity that made me think of SQN. A real crowd pleaser, my only concern with this wine is how ageable it will be.

The fruit is fading somewhat, and a certain earthy tone is taking over. Cloudy and bricking. My cork was saturated 1/2 way up! Still, this is great pinot. I could easily pick this wine blind. Very distict.

Pinot on the River #3, nose of dark fruit, earth, and allspice, more of the same on the palate, nice tasting pinot noir, no weaknesses, just not for me.

Color appears to be an older wine - dusty brick. Nose is earthy, red fruit, mochoa, red berry, strawberry. Day 2 lots of earth, red berry, strawberry poptart, really beautiful. Palate: Wow is thought right off the bat; complex, balanced, red fruit. Strawberry. Day 2: So nice, bigger, more concentrated. Needs time.

Dark color, full body, floral yet non expressive, wood, starts off with a great scent then settles with a smooth flavor. Drink up.

Good flavor, not a traditional pinot with cherry, but strong mouthful flavors. Very much full of alcohol and delicious.

Needs a good hour decant. Strawberry, damp earth and christmas spices dominate this wine. Time has served this well.

Nose of damp earth and red fruits. Strawberries, cranberries, nutmeg and pepper on the palate. A bit sour on the finish, otherwise solid.

A little more shut down than the last one I had 6 months ago. Delicious sweet fruit and a complex blend of spices.
