Powerful and brooding, with time growing in the glass. A comparatively muscular and a little upfront brawnier feel. Great depth and structure, still quite youthful and coming together in the glass with more tar, and blacker fruit, coupled with a beautiful perfume that comes out and grows over time. Beautiful stuff at early peak. 95

Neb Knights Barolo Dinner (L'Apicio, NYC): [Double decanted around 2pm.] Gorgeous floral nose. A lovely wine right at its peak. Delicious and a joy to drink. This Sobrero (not Francesco) owned vines in Monprivato and Villero which he eventually sold to Mauro Mascrello of Giuseppe Mascarello.
