After premox comes a pristine wine ! This bottle opened beautifully with a pale green-gold colour and a perfumed nose of white stone fruit, mixed fresh citrus fruit, lemon zest, oatmeal and limestone. The palate is delicious with a rich mouthful of white peach, nectarine, grapefruit, oatmeal and hazelnuts. There is beautiful grip and minerality balancing the pungent fruit with a finish that doesn't easily let go. A definitive bottle of Perrieres.

Superb white Burgundies: Brought for a friend. Slow-oxed five hours before, since another friend who had this the previous week said this was oaky still. A white Burgundy from another era - full, round and rich with butterscotch notes. Too heavy for some but I thought this was imposing in a good way, but definitely will not win any prizes for being delicate. Bouchard whites rarely disappoint.

Very creamy nose with a bit of citrus, minerals, green apples, but mostly cream, butter, and popcorn. Good acidity with similar notes, some lime, and a slight citrus peel flavors on the palate. Good finish. This has aged quite well, but the malolactic and oak influence remains very strong. Wish there was a little more fruit.

Light yellow magnum with penetrating crushed granite nose. Ready now with whiff of vanilla following long limestone grippy finish. These Bouchards Perrieres are very close to the class of their fantastic Chevaliers in most years-How do you spell Bargain!
