  • Citrus, spearmint and elevage notes (barrels), high and nearly oily density, long. This is pretty good and gained on straightness. Very good stuff.

  • Nice medium-medium-pale yellow straw. On the nose upon opening, floral aromas, citrus, minerals and some nuts. On the palate, the attack is frank, concentrated, lively with lots of energy, fruity, nutty with the aromas as found on the nose. There is also some unresolved oak. An impressive intensity and length in all cases, this is really nice. Very nice fruit. My only question is on the amount of oak and whether it will integrate before this gets too old. I'd say this is certainly good for another 5 to 7 years and possibly longer, but it is certainly ready to go today with sufficient air. 92-93

On day two, added apple, popcorn and vanilla. Still a beauty - the oak seems to have integrated a bit. In comparison to the Morgeot, this is more ethereal, but you certainly also recognise the Ramonet style.

this was my last one, but if I had others, I would certainly shoulder it 3-4 hours before serving it - it gains with some air.

  • Beautiful nose but Still very dense and closed on the palate. Try another bottle in a few years!

  • My first Ramonet and a ‘14 Caillerets at that! This was flat-out incredible, amazingly rich and layered, stacked and packed with dry extract, concentration, and density, yet it retained an equilibrium and finesse that was hard to believe. Texturally wide open, utterly delicious, but still primordial in many respects. Very long, such a treat.

  • Third bottle of this wine. Not showing any more the fantastic nose of the first one in 2019. Color: quite dark yellow. Taste: mature notes, still with some fruit. For my taste a bit to prominent oak. Still a grand wine; a treat with baked sole. Second day a bit less good. I guess, that it's best to drink this wine within three years. 92-93.
