The Verticals Tasting at 2023 La Paulée (Eventi Hotel, New York): Light red. Not a big wine at all. Sinuous, just about perfect mix of dull red fruit and soil, outstanding acidity and supporting tannins. Great balance, great potential even though one can easily appreciate it now.

Domaine Lafarge Clos du Château des Ducs Tasting (NYC): Big, full nose of ripe fruit with plenty of layering of earth, floral and spice notes that are for the moment overshadowed by the fruit. The palate is rich and ripe but so fresh and bright. Terrific combination of power and elegance. Spectacular with upside from here.

Domaine Lafarge Clos du Château des Ducs Tasting, Seminar and Film (Restaurant Daniel - New York NY): In a magical 15/10/05/99 vertical. Perfumed nose with red and black berries, clearly very ripe but showing balance right out of the gate. Identical flavors with so much ripe fruit, but structural support just in the near background, also well supported by very elegant spice. Nowhere near its peak (cellar until AT LEAST 2025).

Enjoyed with a nice prime rib on Christmas. Medium to light bodied. Nice acidity and long finish. Nice bottle, drank great.

尝。没有什么气味,口中也没什么,酸,收紧。不ready。今晚最失望的一个
