With some air in decanter for about 1 h the wine opened up with red berries, cherries, liqorice and earthy notes on the nose. Tried the same in april. The taste still included the same notes as on the nose with some fine tuned sweetness and tannins. Now more richer Excellent to pair with truffelpasta and butterfried funnel chanterelle round off with some white wine. The truffel, the chanterelles and the Bordini, Barbaresco paired wery well, like a very good wedding. 1p better then in the spring.

From a half bottle, this was a lovely, modern-styled Barolo. Not usually my thing, but it was delicious, with a really nice quality to boot. What a nose this had - roses and tar, earth and orange peel, dried apricots, all swirling around a core of lovely sour cherry aromas. Almost a cherry pie, but in no means sickly sweet - a lovely bouquet. The palate was a step or two behind, still cloaked in the fine but firm tannins of youth, it showed slightly simpler notes of sour cherries, fresh red berries and again that dried apricot sweetness, all this laced with hits a touch spice and roses as it trailed into a satisfying chewy finish, with a blush of tannins and juicy acidity lending a nice length to proceedings. Already super yummy with a steak, this is really and impressive young wine - would be lovely to try in 6-8 years time in this format, maybe a decade or longer in a full bottle. Delicious stuff.

Light ruby color. On the nose red berries, licorice root and some earthy notes, autum. The taste is very clean and nice with same flavors and some tannnins left. Smothens with some air and food. Very enjoyable relatively light Barbaresco. Probably even better in 1-3 years. Looking forward to try next bottle next year.

Maybe my fifth bottle of Barbaresco ever. Roughly an hour decant before drinking with dinner. Color is a light garnet, very similar to black cherry Kool aid I remember from my childhood. Long legs. Cherry and leather on the nose. Same flavors on the plate with medium plus tannins. Pairs pretty good with bison pappardelle. Not bad, but not my favorite.

Decorked two hours before consuming. Lots of cherries as usual in Bordini vineyard. Ready to drink now and for the next three years.
