  • Opened one hour in advance. Cherry aroma with a bit of menthol. Rich, full sour cherry flavors with leafy notes. Hint of licorice in the finish. Forward fruit over a tart foundation, firm backbone, linear, good staying power, excellent QPR. Solid, and still going strong.

  • Popped & poured. Muted colour; snappy nose, accessible; shapely, uncluttered palate; Sabre-esque, breezy finish. Fading after 2 hours. For drinking soon

  • My bottle has been open 5 days and it's still vibrant, fruity and fresh. Great quality!

  • Beautiful, youthful ruby red color. Wonderfully perfumed and expressive nose full of Pinosity, crunchy cranberries, floral violet tones, a little bit of brambly raspberries, a hint of earthy spice and a touch of sappy tart fruit. The wine is ripe, rich and intense on the palate with juicy flavors of ripe cranberries, sweet black cherries, some stony minerality, a little bit of raspberry marmalade and a hint of earthy spice. The high acidity wonderfully offsets the sweeter tones of the ripe fruit and lends great freshness to the palate, whereas the gently grippy medium tannins add some welcome firmness to the palate. The finish is ripe, lively and lengthy with gentle tannic grip and pure flavors of ripe cranberries, juicy cherries, some tart red fruits, a little bit of earthy Pinosity and a hint of peppery spice.

A vibrant, fresh and super-tasty Bourgogne Rouge. Nothing too complex, bot nothing too simple or straightforward either. The wine certainly shows some obvious ripeness that is to be expected from a 2015 Burgundy, but the wine is far from soft, fat or overripe - on the contrary, the wine shows great focus and lovely acidity that wonderfully complement the sweeter and fruitier warm-vintage flavors. Not really a wine to be cellared; better drunk sooner rather than later. Perhaps a bit pricey for the style at 24,40€ - but that's nothing new with Burgundy.
