  • Needed a ton of air, very dense and smooth 2013, but definitely needs more time for my taste. Well put together in a more full bodied style.

  • Superb. A really special wine. Fragrant aromas of blackberry, plum, tobacco, leather and some licorice. Super elegant and smooth. Flavors of red cherry, stewed fruit and leather. Nice acidity, ripe tannins. A beautiful Nebbiolo which is so drinkable.

  • Like an old Barbaresco with relatively harmonized balance and low fruit. Lots of taste. Decanted for 2 hrs but I suppose this 1 l bottle will gain from a few years longer in the Cellar.

  • Just drank with some beef ragu and whoa; I decanted for about 45 minutes, and I won't lie, it can benefit from aging. There was a slight astringency on the front palate that hinted at an elegant aging timeline, but the tannic backbone resembled a 20-year-old Nebbiolo, not a five-year-old. Eucalyptus, pine straws, and bing cherries went perfectly with my hearty and aromatic meal. It shows young in terms of integration and maturity, but this is a fine wine to drink right now as well. Tannins were soft (relatively) and fruit was a secondary player to the beautiful bouquet of flowers, earth, and a tiny bit of old wood that made it a fine food pair. Drink now or in 20 years. Your call.
