Lemon, orange blossom, tons of minerals, and maybe a hint of chamomile on the nose. Great acidity with more lemon and other citrus flavors, as well as slightly bitter notes on the palate. Good finish. Lovely, refreshing wine and excellent QPR!

The nose is more than anything Champagne-like with its strong autolytic notes. It also has slightly cidery apple, hard lemon candy and peach kernel. I find these tangy aromatics both intriguing and highly pleasant. On the palate it is bone dry with high acidity and quite a tangy character that only becomes more prominent towards the finish. It is quite linear yet with some flesh on the bones to not come off as shrill. Intense and nervy, this is an attention-grabber with a fairly unique personality. Thoroughly savory with a saline feel to its lingering finish, I find this to be a sort of Bereche fan’s white.

A bit cloudy, apples in the bouquet, a wine with a bite, the savagnin gives the basis and the character the pinot auxerrois and the riesling give the body.

I love this crazy blend. So much going on in a bright, gulpable package. Kuumies' note is spot on as usual.

Vinoblesse Wine Tasting (Ernst Sillem Hoeve, Den Dolder, NL): Tasting, brief note. A blend of Savagning, Riesling and Auxerrois. Fresh and lively, mineral and energetic, flowers and herbs, spice, pure but not fruit-driven at all.
