  Juicy dark berry fruit. Tannins muted. Drink up.

  Pop and pour and tasted without food. Recorked and tasted over the following two days.
  Ruby red color. Somewhat cloudy.
  First impression is that there is Pinot funk, with a forest floor element and lacking in fruit. Over the next few days, the funk mellowed out a bit and allowed some bright red berry fruit to come through. A bit disjointed. Good but not outstanding.
  This was a bit funky and I was looking for greater depth and structure.

  Tasting at Walter Scott Wines (Winery, Eola-Amity Hills): Barrel tasting at winery. Temperance is the highest elevation producing fruit today in Eola-Amity. Hugely aromatic nose has earthy fruit with a great herbal and floral quality. The palate has silky light-bodied fruit. Lithe and elegant. My favorite in the pinot line-up and one of my favorites of this tasting trip. 93-95.
