Big, full bodied. Grippy tannins, dark purple/black coloring. Not previously familiar with the producer and was impressed with this at 10yrs past vintage age. Will be a long-lived wine. Solid Garagiste Mystery pickup, reminded me why I like dabbling with those. Don't drink a lot of Washington Cab and it was nice to be guided to this one.

Notes of blackberries, espresso, coffee, dark chocolate, pencil lead, and some fresh cracked black pepper that took a little while to come into focus. The palate is medium+ bodied, with medium+ acid that doesn’t jump out at you. Tannins have a powdery, somewhat noticeable quality.
A wine with some nice aspects and nothing wrong with it, but it doesn’t feel quite like it holds together texturally. It’s still drinking well, but it somehow doesn’t feel well structured. Ripe without feeling over the top. Very good, especially at $20.

Ready to go on PnP. Mystery from Garagiste, and maybe the best value of all of the ones that I've purchased.

Sad to see these bottles dwindling. Loads of dark fruit and charcoal, this had an earthy element and was drinking quite fresh.
