A: Deep ruby (instr. says medium ruby) N: Medium intensity notes of blackberry, black cherry, liquorice. The fruit is stewed according to the instr. There is a tertiary characteristic of leather, tobacco leaf P: Dry, medium (+) acid, high alcohol and tannin (ripe), full body, medium (+) intensity (would have been higher but for alcohol interference), medium (+) length . C: The alcohol is out of balance here and is overshadowing the fruit. Other elements including the length, intensity and a half mark for complexity contribute to the Very Good Quality of this wine With little fresh fruit to offer, I do not think this wine is suitable for ageing.
Guesses: Blackberry and Black plum with high alcohol meets earthiness and I put this in a warmer part of Italy but didn't spot the grape. I should have. This is pretty classic Nero d'Avola.

Deep purple color with plenty of tears. On the nose, black raspberry and smoke with hints of incense and cedar. Acidity and tannins about equal at medium high level. Juicy, coating mouth feel.

Simplistic. Nothing bad about it, great as a porch pounder or 2nd bottle.

Inky dark. Wonderful vanilla chocolate nose. Plum and berry fruit. Acidic finish has great length. Not complicated but very enjoyable.
