  An old tasting note, this was recommended by Robert Parker in the mid 80s and to quote he said 'fill your car boot with it' and I and many others did, available from the late lamented Odbins in the uk.
  I purchased several cases of this and was never disappointed, an amazing vintage throughout most of Europe, from memory this wine reatailed at around £3.50 at the time, sadly the 83 was not as good and the winery disappeared from UK lists, the 82 was probably the best everyday wine I ever purchased.

  Another amazing aged bottle of Salice Salentino. Tannins are all dissolved, nice tertiary aromas, excellent complexity. This wine over-delivers consistently. Coffee and chocolate aromas, nice spicy quality. Buy some and age it for 20 years?
