  Better showing than my previous bottle. More aromatic. Drank over 3 days. Best on second day. Starts to lose some structure on the third day. Alcohol an acidity taking the front seat on the 3rd day
  
  I take that back. I had a half glass left in the bottle. Drank few hours later. An it was singing. Best glass was the last. But others were dEf good. Changing my score to a 93. Have one bottle left. Don’t know if I will drink soon or hold for few more years. This second bottle felt it had room to sustain a few more years of ageing

  I can’t fairly assess this wine. Upon opening it was huge. Acidic. Tannic. Never fruit forward. Read a note saying this was on its way downhill. I have two more. I’m going to drink another an better assess the wine. It had it with a German Riesling and a vino tondonia Rioja. It definite begged for food. My two friends who I shared the evening with loved the franc Over the Rioja an the Riesling. Franc is my fav varietal yet I felt the Rioja was the best showing of the night. Franc was 2014. Rioja 2011. Riesling 2021. Wait for next note above shortly to give better description.

  The label, foil and most importantly the cork were all in perfect condition. The cork was inky black at the wine contact end. We still have a few more bottles of this and at going on ten years, this is likely at or just passing the apex of its drinking window. It should be consumed over the next couple of years.
  
  Consistent with earlier tasting, Dark ruby colored, medium full bodied, forward full expressive ripe dark berry fruits with tangy spice and herbs, notes of tea and hints of cedar and oak with a moderate tannin lingering finish.

  Napa Valley Visit May23; 5/1/2023-5/4/2023 (Napa Valley): Outstanding Cab Franc. Tasted at dinner. No extensive tasting notes. Well matched with roasted meat.
