Tasted blind: bright dark color; some real sous bois, forest "shtink" of great burgundy, shoe polish notes. Great balance and concentration for a relatively modest bottling. Outstanding showing!

Louis Jadot Cellar Visit and Dinner (Domaine/Maison Jadot and Couvent des Jacobins - Beaune): Ripe red and black fruit with woodsy spice, earth notes and overall good balance. Very good length, far more elegant and finessed than I expected from ripe vintage Savigny at this age.
