Plenty of garrigue, deep fruit, and minerality… Nose subdued..: fruit behind the herbs.. Very sturdy tannic finish… I wanted more out of this bottle.:: Maybe needs time still with the sturdy tannins… Lacked a wow punch to me Hopeful the fruit emerges more prominently in a few years 5 bottles left

Modern style: no funk but clean Grenache with cherries and a bit of herbal quality. Paired with sous vide lamb and had the structure to compliment it well.

14.5% abv. Sweet, pure grenache expression. No where near the tannins or structure I experienced the first time drinking this 3 years ago; seemed at or near peak. Quite enjoyable, very typical of CdP grenache. Doesn’t feel like more complexity is forthcoming with cellaring but will hold a couple of bottles to see.
Agree for the most part with other notes. Dark fruit, incense, garrigue, lots of spice. Good depth and concentration, very firm tannins, long finish. This was better the second day: better balanced and more complexity; still quite tannic. I wanted to try a younger CNdP (I tend to drink them older). It's a very good drink now, but this particular one will be better once the tannins recede.

Very well aged chateauneuf du pape. Soft integrated tannins. Nice balance. Nothing out of place. Needed some air to be able to strutt its stuff.
