  This wine is a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Petite Verdot. The nose in rich and black with sweet notes, dark berry, loamy dirt, and lemon zest. The mouth on this full bodied wine is lovely, layers of concentrated sweet fruit, that is balanced and controlled with ripe blackberry, cassis, along with still searing tannin, sweet cedar, and spice. The finish is long with nice tannin, good acid, leather, blackcurrant, cloves, black pepper, chocolate, and citrus rind on the long rise. BRAVO!

  In the glass, the wine is dark garnet and fades to ruby as it approaches the walls of the glass. The nose has an aroma of concentrated sweet berries, crushed blackberries, lemon zest and fresh saw dust (think wood shop). Sweet tannins attack the palate along with walloping flavors of blackberry and cassis that give way to mild oak and spice. The wine is full bodied with somewhat chewy tannins that, given its youth, are suprisingly well integrated and supported by nice acidity. The finish is long with a touch of bitter citrus at the very end. This is an excellent Israeli Bordeaux blend that comes in a very well balanced package…and at a reasonable price. It is certainly enjoyable now, but will be better in 3-6 months and should hold its peak for 2-3 years.
