Roulot's 2015 Luchets is rich with ripe apple but is drinking better than I expected it would on release, moderately bright with a fine mineral complexity. Good length to the finish. Roulot is always a pleasure and, while it will never be my favorite vintage, the 2015s are coming around.

PNP into Spiegelau Burgundy glass (“Leaf” day): Medium golden to the eyes.
Sulfurous notes suggesting some good level of maturity. Ripe apricots, peaches. Honeysuckle and florals. Fresh creme, sweet biscuit notes in the best way.
Super clean and yet deep on the palate.
94-95 points easy for this showing.
3 hours in, 1/5 left: more fruits came back to the palate. Amazed at how drinkable this is now. More like solid 95 points.

The impressive breed shows through on this Meursault, both on the nose and the attack. Well paired with a fish dish that featured citrus. Seamless and elegant - oddly many reviewers were not as favorably impressed this wine but perhaps it is starting to show its stuff. It was served with the 2015 Coche Rouget’s, and it is not as deep a wine but is still excellent and a great comparison of styles.

A wine that needs time to open. A nose of lemon, flowers, oak and herbs. Great citrus and stone fruit; minerals, salt and a restrained butterscotch/oak. Balanced.

Popped and poured. Lovely nose, flinty with great citrus aromas. Palate is deep with a crisp texture and complex flavors.
