We were surprised after all these 24 years that this wine was delightful. Oaky nose with low tannins and acid. Black cherry, earthy with hints of chocolate.

Drank from a magnum. Tasting great. Peaking for sure though took about and hour for it to really shine. Excellent structure. Nose mouth finish all classic Alexander valley Cabernet flavors. Very happy. Glad a buddy still has a bottle. Could go another few years for sure. Though I doubt it will taste any better than now

An earthy, herbal presentation for this aged winemaker's reserve from Souverain. Soft leather layered over an undercurrant of dried sage and berry with a lively, savory aftertaste. A pipe tobacoo edge adds another dimension on the long, lingering finish. This has come together nicely over the years and should be consumed in the short run. Drink now.
