  • Wow! What a wine. Fairly dark, somewhere between amber and light brown. Gorgeous aromas of botrytis and something savory, nutty. On the attack, this is fresh and bright, pithy, with peach and tangerine flavors. As the wine is swirled in the mouth, the flavors deepen, to more of a green fig/golden raisin profile, with hints of kumquat and persimmon to boot. With air, the wine gains weight and depth, turning more and more sticky, viscous, finishing on a lingering, persistent sandalwood/cedar note. Still some acidity left, but I think this is near the end of its' drinking window. World class dessert wine.

  • Clear honey color. Very sweet, no acidity, a bit of apricot and orange peel peeking through honeyed fruit. Strange and reminiscent of hydromel or mead.
