Medium ruby color with mild clearing at rim and mild bricking Medium plus aromas of black cherry/ dark plum with notes of cedar/ graphite/ leather and hints of pepper - really no notable new oak on the nose Medium bodied with palate of red cherry/ bell pepper and dry earthy notes - some green stem notes to finish Medium plus well integrated tannins and medium alcohol with medium plus acidity Great finish led by fruit and tannins Drinking well now but can hold for another 3-7 yrs if desired Great higher elevation heritage vineyard Ca Cabernet - this really reminds me of an old school Cabernet - old Togni perhaps? Highly recommended

Blind tasting Medium garnet, filtered Aromatics medium +. Dark plum. Pencil shavings, leather and dust. No new oak Palate has a medium + body. Acid medium +. Tannins medium +, medium grained on teeth and gums, but well integrated. Alcohol medium +. Tart and ripe cherry. Pyrazines including green bell pepper and Jalapeño. Finish has a medium + length. Balanced Dry glass notes of cedar, pencil lead, leather I guessed a 2010 left bank Bordeaux I'd drink now as tasting well, but could still age given structure

A really nice wine. The Mile Dildine note nails it perfectly: bright plum and a strong herbal hit of eucalyptus, sage, thyme and mint. Maybe a bit underripe? Or will the acidity resolve with more time?
