An excellent wine that has the potential to rate higher. An Aussie cabernet thoroughbred and one that pays its homage to Bordeaux. A classic blend where the cabernet provides the shape and the Malbec provides the yumminess factor.
It has Aussie fruit through and through but the shape, structure and velocity all scream Bordeaux. Savoury and full of life, it shows a great deal of cassis, plum fruit and cedar on the nose. Body is medium to big with spice, chocolate, bouquet garni and perhaps some notes of a young balsamic. Fantastic length and depth of complexity. Hint of almond at the finish. Tannin is still tight and will soften out in time.
Drink in 2026 to 10+ years from there.

Opened through a pro event, from personal cellar, with friends and customers...
Very truffly and bell pepper nose, quite nice though, the bell pepper is not of a herbaceous style.
tasted through a couple of days, with a low level of tannins "according" to expected standards, it would medium in SAT... outstanding fruit like always in OZ, long and fresh ... very nice, blackberry, cassis, curant,
Will certainly age perfectly over 15+ years...

Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent): bottle courtesy of a customer The wine is big, bold, extrovert, red and black fruit, cherries, nutmeg, capsicum, nice oak frame, floral notes, spices, clove, nutmeg. In the palate, the wine shows full body, oaky, spicy, mint, alcohol heat, less broad than expected, red currant, nice acidity, long finish
