I initially purchased this to offer in a blind tasting, as it is made of primarily sangiovese but none of the characteristics, which I thought would be a challenge. But I needed a pizza wine tonight and settled for this.
The more I tasted, the more it turned me off. You really feel the hand in the cellar in order to still brew something half-decent. Well, as said, no sangiovese characteristics to be found. More new world style (lots of cassis + a faint off putting chemical impression).
I think they had to work very hard in a challenging vintage and the end result is certainly drinkable, but devoid of character. Makes me wonder if it weren't better to have skipped the vintage all together.

Easy drinking. Nice start, fresh little bitter taste. Long finish. Not a lot of nuances, but nice
