  Since 1999 Il Palagio is owned by Sting and his wife Trudie who put lots of effort to restore this 500 year old estate, its vineyards and winery to its former glory. Blend of 80% Sangiovese, 9% CS, 9% Merlot, 2% CF, aged for 12 months in used FR oak and 6 months in bottle. Medium+ aroma of cherries, plums, leather, earth, dried rose petals, tobacco, baking spice. Medium body, bright and fresh, medium+ intensity flavours of cherries, plums, earthy and tobacco hints, integrated high acidity, fine medium+ tannins.
