Color is red brick, with a tawny edge. Aromas remind me of blood, smoke, ink, orange, peel, talcum, and cherries. In the mouth, I additionally sense mushroom and earth, tangy acidity, still with tannin medium-. An appealing wine, somewhat rustic. Enjoying how this plays around being a sip-to-sip chameleon.

The Alto Piemonte has some hidden gems, this is another that is great value. Blend of Nebbiolo, Croatina and Vespolina, and from the oldest vines of the property. Dark ruby in colour, inky texture with high acid, but the tannins were smoothed out (perhaps too excessively). Very quaffable.

Medium bodied, dark ruby color, quite tight and shy for at least 40 minutes but then developed a nice forward fruit with tannic touch on finish. Nice but not particularly distinctive yet.
