Sour cherries, cola, vanilla, medium tannins and some cedar after 2.5h in decanter. Drank for the next 2-3 hours. Less sour, more strawberry, and softer tannins towards the end of the bottle. First time drinking Lavinea, l looking forward to trying more from them.

Mid red with a touch of amber, the nose starts shyly with red and black fruits with some vanilla - shy at first but blossoms into a more complex animal but it is the palate which over one and a half hours delivers an astonishing development into a perfectly balanced and complex animal with over 80 secs of persistence. Heavy it is not but soft and ethereal it is.

Medium light body, plenty of bright red fruits here, largely primary still with just a hint of development at the edges. decent length and very pleasurable, just a little heat at the end.

Bright mid red, just on the garnet side of ruby. Positive nose, red fruits led by strawberry aromas. Quite bright with a little lift. Moderate mid palate complexity. Finishes with just a touch of a sense of the 13.8 abv on the finish. Overnight this rounds a little and fills. The finish seems to lose the slight burn and it remains a nicely polished and quite interesting number. Suspect this will benefit from a little more bottle age. ***1/2

Medium color and definition. Clean, straight forward raspberries, cherries, and roses in the initial flavors. This is a nice, mid-level Oregon Pinot Noir that while enjoyable, not very distinctive or complex.
