Chateau Marjosse owned by Pierre Lurton, best known as Managing Director of two First Growth Bordeaux estates,Cheval Blanc and Yquem in Sauternes.
Deep Ruby Slightly overly Ripened plums, that you smell in the vineyard after harvest Grandpa's Sweet pipe tobacco Round fleshy silky
Seems slightly reduced at this stage
Body medium Alcohol medium Acid medium high Viscosity fully enveloped mouthfeel. Tannins completely resolved Finish long, though because there's no alcohol bite, seems shorter than the stopwatch shows
A nice wine, and for $20ish CAD!!!
Bought a case of 2020 futures a couple of years back on the recommendation of a wine buddy. (With the maturity seen here already, methinks I better check that box to ensure it's not progressed too quickly!)
We're about to have it with a beef roast. Should be terrific
On a Singapore Airlines BC flight from Frankfurt to New York. Red and dark fruit, red cherry, leafy black currant, plum, earth, tobacco, and herbaceous notes, with medium-level acidity, just ripe tannin, and average length. Medium-bodied, with average concentration and complexity. An entry-level Bordeaux that seems a little flabby, lacking in structure and integration. Drink now.

Color, clear red; 1st nose, herbs, black pepper and eucalyptus. 2nd nose, alcohol. On the palate, lots of tannins and not much fruits. Medium to long finish. I think it needs another 3-5 years in the cellar.

Merlot dominant, new style Bx as far as abv goes, at 14%.
Warm red fruit, moderate acidity, retains old style Bx affinity with camembert.
Solid value
