A hint of purple in the black cherry color. Blackberry, cherry, cedar and a slight bit of mint on the nose. Well balanced with the same flavors as in the nose. A bit of tartness softens when swirled in the mouth. Medium tannins. Medium finish. Pleasant but I'm not sure it would develop any more with age than where it is now.

Tenth from a case purchased at retail. This is moving in the right direction and showing very well. A nice, solid—if simple—bottle. Cabernet sauvignon driven with lots of currants, cedar, and firm tannins. An excellent choice to go with a NY strip. 13% ABV (good/**/15/88)

Seventh of twelve from a case purchased at retail in late 2021. Very pure, juicy red fruits and cedar on the nose and palate. Good tannins and acidity. Nice Bordeaux characteristics on full display. A day-two wine still. 13% ABV (good; distinctive/**/15/88)

Sixth of twelve from a case purchased at retail in late 2021. This is coming along nicely. This was relatively complex on the nose, showing very pure red currants and red cherries, pencil shavings, and cedar. Not as concentrated as the appearance in the glass would have you believe but not thin, either—and well balanced and very cohesive with a surprisingly long finish. The tannins are firm but ripe. Came back to the vacuumed bottle on day seven and this was even better 13% ABV (good/**/15/88)
