  • Still very young and it could certainly improve with 5 more years of age. Dark and brooding fruit that is still condensed/dried but also with plenty of acidity. Good lenght and overall a great wine for a winter night.

  • Deep ruby. On the nose aromas of medium plus intensity displaying dried fruits (raisins, prunes), spice (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg), fresh blackberries and black cherries, toast, leather, pine, menthol. On the palate the wine is dry with medium plus acidity, high fine ripe tannins, high alcohol, full bodied with dried fruits, fresh black fruits and red cherries and spices, toast, chocolate, prunes, herbs - high intensity flavor palate. The finish is long with chocolate and spice on the finish. this is an outstanding wine . The alcohol, fruit, acidity are balanced so no one thing stands out, the finish is long and pleasant, the nose and palate demonstrate intensity and complexity with secondary, and tertiary aromas primarily. Despite its age, this can still sit for another 5-7 years. It has the structure with the acidity and fruit to continue to bottle age and mature to further finesse.

  • 200308: Second pour from Coravin. More developed nose with figs and raisin touch. Could easily be stored for more complexity. Very good and less heavy impression than last time.

190818; Young and vital. Packed with cherry fruit and obviously a full bodied, dense, multilayered wine. Some heat, very long finish. Tannins are there but they are almost drowned by the fruit. Very pleasant but I wouldn't drink too much at a time of this big wine. 91-93p. Great in small doses.
