In the top three of all roses...up there with Musar and Lopez de Heredia. This is not as idiosyncratic as the other two and has good acidity, light tannins, mouth-watering blood orange fruit and really beautiful balance between the components. A food wine of the highest order. I would suggest that this is chronically underrated because it is a rose and people have an unconscious anchoring bias.

Pop and pour. At first, a lovely, funky gamey note, like boar, mixed with sweet wild.cherry and raspberry. The funk faded with air, but left a savory note on the palate. Good acidity, and lovely texture. Very dark rose in color, almost like a pale PN. Fantastic mouthfeel, and very clean and dense finish.

Very unique. Barnyard and game on the nose gives way to cherry liqueur and orange bitters on the palate. Not necessarily something I’d like to pound in the sunshine. More of drinking with food situation here. Reminds me a lot of Paolo Bea.

Strawberry up front and grapefruit on the back. Great palate cleanser. Medium finish. Dry with a touch of sweetness upfront.
