Light straw colour, significant mouth feel; aroma of honeydew rind, with lingering flavour of freshly squeezed lime. I wouldn't think of adding this to tequila, but more pronounced aroma and flavour was enhanced with every bite of oven baked chicken.

Wine Crawl 8: Sauvignon Blanc and California Syrah (San Francisco): Light petrol, apple sauce on nose. Initially quite round in the mouth, almost sweet, not promising. Midpalate comes through with some impressive minerality. Good, but not as chiseled as i'd like it to be, and perhaps too sweet. My 2/3, group's 1/3. (Tasted blind)

I only had a taste of this but it was appallingly sweet and round -- basically the inverse of what i want in a Sancerre, and bearing no resemblance to Rimmerman's description. Very disappointing, especially compared to the wonderful '05 Andre Neveu Sancerre "Silex", another Garagiste Wines selection i tasted a few days ago...

Whenever I drink Sancerre I am tempted to swear off all other whites, and this wine is a good example of why. Pale yellow color. Strong lemon/citrus on the nose. Honeyed and smooth, viscous body; palate has more citrus, butterscotch, and a truckload of flinty minerality that carries the finish. Delicious!
