Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • From 375ml. According to the label, 1993 was an excellent year for Paolo Bea. This remarkable time capsule supports that claim. Age hasn't robbed the wine of anything: it still brings fruit, sugar, and acid in force. Overripe blackberries, hints of maple syrup, and a slight nuttiness. Paired deliciously with sheep's cheeses and a citrus blossom honey. This was my only bottle, and I doubt I'll find a second, but if I did I would save it for another five years. Bottle #571.
