Very light yellow in color with an aroma of pear and acetone. The flavor had notes of pear and nutmeg/spice. To me, it didn't taste like a late harvest wine -- it had a light, fruity (pear) flavor, not the dessert-level sweetness from "traditional" late harvest wines. Won a Gold Medal at the L.A. County Fair where they listed $14 as the price for a 750 ml bottle.

Two stops on Michigan's Old Mission Peninsula (Old Mission Peninsula, Michigan): Tasted at the winery. Funky peach/fuzzy naval sort of nose. A little off-putting to us, but some may find it interesting. Lacking acid. Flabby and sugary on the palate. "Good," 83/100.
