  • The VA on the nose rendered this wine undrinkable. It was so strong and overpowering it was impossible to get through. Haven't seen this level of VA outside of a few Aussie Shiraz fruit bombs. Bummer...

  • Expressive nose, quite spicy, anis seeds, berry fruit, forest notes, earth, mint. On the palate light, subtle, nicely balanced, fresh, long. Elegant and smooth. Maybe not as complex as expected, but pure expression of fruit. Now-2016

  • Lunch at the Waterside Inn (Bray, Berkshire): The sommelier at the waterside inn suggested this from the godson of Henry Jayer. It felt like a page from the Drops of God Manga so we couldnt say no! A good advice too.
Open right from go and we did not decant. Long beautiful red fruit nose, light earth and harmony. Very elegant. On the palate it reminds you this is really a village wine and although very well made it lacks depth. It sort of died off over 1 hour we monitored it so we would suggest to drink now. 91

  • Cork showed some signs of seepage, and there was some growth on top. Cork came out fine. Nose started a bit tight with plenty of spice showing. Initial palate was ok, fruit was hiding a bit. After half hour, it really started to show darker fruits, with lots of forest floor, some soy and spice. Continued to evolve over the 3 hours we drank it, really became a beautiful wine, lots of layers, amazingly light but full on the palate and finish with dark mature berries..Probably the best village I have had. Wish I had more

  • This bottle was popped and poured. A darker red in the glass, the wine was open from the start, fruit forward with cherries dominating the palate with just a slight hint of the Vosne spice. Medium weight, very smooth, a very enjoyable village.
