We had this with a nice italian dinner, a variety of bruschetta and foccacia with tapenade and aioli, and then with pastas.
I really disagree with the earlier poster about this being watery. I found it quite dense and oaked for a Dolcetto and rather in need of a year or two actually, but altogether quite nice and a very good value for what you get here. I would choose this again.

Deep, red fruit, black cherry, and leather on the nose. Palate of earth, black cherry, floral notes, sage, and a touch of spice. The finish had notes of nuts. Smooth, well balanced. Medium long finish. A little watery.

Good value for a Dolcetto. Nice and fruity with some oak flavor....and some definite tannins, but both beef and pork dishes cut right through it....so nicely balanced.

Had the 2004 and loved it. I saw the 2005 and thought I'd try it. Disappointing. All tannin and acid. Minimal fruit and earth peaking through. A bit better on the second night.
