What i called laquer thinner before may be more of a glue smell. The fruit seems darker after breathing for a few days. The tannins are mellowed out and the finish is a bit nicer.
Drank this and the 2008 together. This bottle had lots of sediment while the 2008 had none. This also had just a bit stronger tannins.

Cherry, cranberry, licorice and laquer thinner on the nose. Rich, bright and tart the second it hits your palate, with cherry and cranberry. Medium bodied, medium tannins, mouth drying. Mouthfeel continues for awhile on the finish but the flavor fades pretty quickly.

A bit earthy for a dolcetto, and not exactly to my style. Others, such as Marchesi di Gresy's, I find bright and more compact. Also, a bit over-extracted for my over-opinionated dolcetto palate.

Nice earthy character, which gives it a rustic appeal. The acid was also a good component. The finish is a bit short. All in all, this is a nice dolcetto from a good producer. At only $10, I could add this into weekday rotation.

Bright cherry fruit and dusty, earthy flavor profile. There are some tannins still left in this medium-bodied wine with balanced acidity. The finish is moderate.
