A 1959 Birthday Dinner (Los Gatos, California): Medium yellow-how can this be?? Laid back aromas of stone fruit and a bit of petrol. Light to medium body, off dry, perfectly fresh fruit, a bit of herbs, and superb acidity and soil. Alright, the intensity could be better, but c'mon, this is 60 year old Riesling that tastes and looks a good 40 years younger than that.
