  • Dark ruby.
Still lots of dark fruits on nose & palate. For me, still mainly primary fruit, damsons, black cherries/plums.
Rich, ripe, full bodied, well integrated tannins, long finish.
I believe that this has improved compared to 2021 tasting.
Still 5 years of good drinking for me.
Nine bottles left so it will be interesting to see how it evolves.

  • Similar to 5/2022, paired with smoked pork spare ribs (excellent pairing). Dark black color. On nose, saline, black cherry, olives and iodine. Medium+ body, medium+ acidity, medium tannins and long finish. Palate had similar profile to nose. Really enjoyed this and it has aged beautifully. 93+/- Need to buy some more recent vintages of this wine.

  • PNP. Paired with smoked Pork Spare Ribs. Dark red color, nearly black. Great nose - fig, blackberry, dark cherry, saline and citrus notes with 3+ hours of air. On palate, medium+ body, medium+ acidity and integrated tannins with a long finish. Flavor profile on palate consistent with nose with some sweet cherry noticeable as well. Very enjoyable. Has improved from last tasting (2019). 92-93 range. Loved this.

  • Roses and black pepper, blueberries and slightly gamey. Slightly volatile and quite high acidity, surprisingly light body, moderately high tannins but polished around the edges, astringent and juicy. Dark fleshy fruit, leaves and yoghurt. Long finish.

    Keep or drink.
