Blind Tasting Australian Shiraz (Taylor's wines, Alexandria): Blackberry and black pepper, sweet spice, slightly jubey notes, a little red berry underpin. Medium plus intensity acidity, dense, tannins are slightly chalky, blackberry over black pepper and red berry underpin. Nice.

Coonawarra Roadshow (Town Hall, Sydney): Sweet and savoury spice, a little blackberry, cream and cedar. Big bolshy fruit, a little peppery spice and plentiful tannins but it's a bit meh for me again.
