Three years since my last note, when I postulated that it may be just past is peak. Far from it based on this bottle - long, complex, and very very impressive. Tremenndous.

This wine finally turned a corner. It's the best showing of any of the bottles I opened. Others have been tight and needed coaxing to show anything, and even then maybe did not show much. This was good from the start. Very much like a standard white Rhone. Unctuous in a good way. Some elements of marzipan and honey. Good finish. I liked it a lot.

Still tight. Takes time to open. Some controversy about the oxidation. Glenn seemed to feel it was more pronounced than I did, although not a fatal flaw. It's there, but it's basically a Rhone. What do you expect? It's nothing like say a Rioja blanco, which I also love. It showed some white fruit. it has a nice finish. Imported by Beaune Imports.

not quite ready. I bought this near the source and stored it in France. It's still showing sulphur. Needs a fair bit of air to get going. As it warmed and breathed, it started to show some goodness.

A tremendous reminder of how age worthy Simone Blanc can be. Ready, perhaps just pas its peak, but will last. Complex and delicious.
