Similar to previous taster, an excellent complex tassie chardonnay, showing a lovely mix of lemon, white peach and a twist of vanilla on both palate and nose. Mid weight but quite powerful with long length and lovely refreshing acid cut. Drinking beautifully and while it will easily go another 5 years I reckon top drinking in next 2 years

Cool climate Chardonnay with lots of zingy lemon, some chalkiness and a bit of grapefruit pith.
Pretty tight with lots of acidity. The quality is there but I think this still needs years to soften and let some secondary and tertiary characters show a little.

I had this alongside a Bell Hill Chardonnay , a little unfair I know , the Dawson James lacks precision and purity of the Bell Hill
Colour lemon bright and clear green hues 15/15 Nose medium intensity interesting nose lots of layers , nectarine, citrus lemon ,lees , nougat , nuts, butter overall clean and fresh aromas , 27/30 Palate medium bodied first flavour is the line of acidity from start to finish , even across the palate to the extra long finish , all flavours held in perfect balance, building excellent complexity 41/44 Overall developing into an elegant wine , great minerality 9/11

Still good that acidity , I recommend serving at room temperature or around 15 degrees

Think I agree with CPBrisbane. This has real quality but certainly needs time and will improve.
