Lemon citrus on opening, but some stonefruit emerged with time in decanter. Quite a lean, cool climate Chardonnay. Noticeable oak with vanilla on the nose and vanilla and ginger on the palate. Still in great condition at 10years but just a touch too austere. With just a bit more generous fruit this would have been excellent.

Appearance: medium gold. Nose: medium plus, aromas of toast, honey, pastry, washed rind, fresh guava, white peach, subtle flint, fennel seeds. It’s developing. Palate: dry, medium plus acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus flavour intensity, intriguing peach skin and honey note, medium plus finish. Overall, it’s a very good wine. Can drink now, but has potential for short term ageing. Really well made wine. Great balance with controlled alcohol (12.9%). The flavours are complex yet pure. Oak are fully integrated. Although you can further keep it, I think it’s drinking at its prime window now. Tassie wines are definitely taking larger and larger spaces in my cellar, whether being chardy or pinot.

Pale gold. Buttery nose. Lemon peel, almond, grapefruit with good acidity. Hint of butter towards the end. Nice mouthfeel. Very pleasing, almost sweet finish.

Excellent chardonnay. Great fruit, balanced with bright acidity and a touch of spice from the oak.

Decanted 30-60 minutes. Quite deep colour for age. Well balanced. Should be good for another 5-10 years.
