This was great. Opened and let it air for an hour. Had a cigar with the first glass and the combination of the cigar and the wine was excellent. Drank another glass with a rack of lamb. Great black pepper flavors and notes of tart cherry and cranberry. Drink now though 2032.

First thing is the color - as purple as wine gets. Reach, deep and impenetrable. Nose of licorice, cassis, cranberry jelly and raspberry compote. Screams in the mouth with rich roasted red fruits, hardy but integrated tannins and grilled sweet peppers. It has been 45 mins since my last quaff and I taste it still all through my back palate. Loved it.

Rich, delicious dark fruit with burnt carmel flavors, excellent structure, long finish, drank with 2017 Carlisle James Berry Vyd Syrah and 2014 Saxum James Berry Vyd GSM, the latter was notches of elegance and complexity above the others but all were terrific wines

Rough, rich, delicious, black raspberry fruit, short finish, oak background, tasted against the 2016 Carlisle James Berry Vyd Syrah, preferred the latter which was rounder but equally rich

Two hour decant. Red and black fruits, spicy and long. Full bodied with significant acidity. Smooth texture, moderate tannins and a long finish.
