  9y old Chianti
  Definitely a food wine. Had with lasagne, a good match.
  Lots of black fruit, black cherries and some plum. Great acidity as can be expected from it's sangiovese origin and med+ fine grained tannins.
  Short on secondary and tertiary notes, despite the age. That's okay considering it's price.
  Buy if the price is right. Match with Italian food.

  A darker chianti style with over mature sweet cherries. Nice glass but not so much my style.

  Opened for about 2.5 hours before drinking. Aromas of cherry, tar, cedar and iron. Flavors of cherry, tar, raspberry, iron and mineral. Ends with a long cherry and tar finish of about 20-25 seconds. This is very nice with a lot of old world charm.
