  Subtle Petroleum, baked honey, residual sugar, medium length

  Wittmann Kirchspiel 16 vs Keller Kirchspiel 13.
  Keller med tropiske toner, ananas og lime, og med stor og sjenerøs smak. Fantastisk vin som fortsatt har mye å gå på.
  Wittmann har et litt annet duftregister, tropisk preg også her, men mer i retning melon samt grønne epler og pærer. Noe utviklet på smak med stram, sitrusdrevet frukt à la grapefrukt. Strammere enn Keller og med god ‘punch’. Energisk, mineralsk og ganske intens med god gonsentrasjon. Ikke fullt så åpen, trenger kanskje mer tid og ender et par poeng bak i denne duellen med 92 p.

  Rich and deep nose of tropical fruits, honey and a slight petrol note. Rich and powerful on the palate with good acidity. Showing quite well with some aeration at the moment, will easily last for 15+ years to come.

  Nose of pineapple and stonefruits. On the palate it is ever so slightly sweet and has nice lime and some grapefruit, which makes the aftertaste slightly bitter. This one is ready but will age for quite while longer (I think it could easily hit 20 years age).
  
  I decanted this from fridge temp, which is waaaayy too cold, this improved a lot after an hour in the carafe.

  Pnp but needs about 30 min in the open bottle to come together. Nice petroleum nose upon but some slightly bitter and grassy nose on the palate upon opening. With more air, this however turns into a lovely just slightly sweet Riesling with good minerality. This is not Doennhoff’s Hermannshoehle but still very nice!
