I've seen some notes on more recent vintages suggesting that this can age for 5-10 years. You do not want this at 10 years old. The is a pretty strong spritz and beyond that, it is chemically and what fruit there is, has a dehydrated quality to it.

Clearly over the hill, but not dead yet. There was an initial spritz which took some time to blow off, but also gave a lightness to the wine. This was heavy with petrol notes on both the nose and palate and the fruit; apricots, lemons, limes and light orange, has taken on a dried quality. There is a bit of spiciness and slate on the finish. Overall, this is a decent study in older riesling, but it is a little four square and doesn't have the complexity you'll find in better rieslings. Given the price, this wasn't too bad.

My last bottle of this and it was intense and great. The petroly aspect was really in full force, the color even more golden. Good residual sugar but still wonderful acidity of lemon. I paired this with a Moroccan dish of halibut with red onion jam and worked really well.

FW-BYOB-HT-14#4: ¤FW - Very interesting to try! Did not know that there were any Rieslings with residual sugar outside of Germany. It is not terribly sweet at all, just hints of sugar rounds of the high and tart acidity. Good complexity on the nose with flowers, redcurrants, freeze dried raspberries, rubber, petroleum, honey and orange zest. Slightly fizzy feel. Good and tasty stuff!

The screw cap was showing a sticky brown residue that I'd never before seen on a screw cap (stored on its side). But upon opening it was just as good as the last bottle or better. Golden straw color, pear and honey and petrol and jasmine on the nose. Still floral, not super sweet. Great depth and finish. One more bottle left...
